At American Defense Systems, we install smart security systems but we also love football. We wanted to share a few smart ideas that could help folks throw a Super Bowl Party to remember!
WHAT'S YOUR GAMEPLAN?
Game plans are important. It's best to know what you need before you head out to shop. Create a list to be sure you are able to get your essentials. You can also search online for deals and coupons. Don't hate on generic brands either, you can't knock Mr. Pibb!
THE DOLLAR STORE
You probably won't find any Patriots or Rams branded plates, or cups, but your local dollar store is a great source of low-cost party supplies and generic game-day decorations. You can find napkins, silverware, paper plates, tablecloths and napkins in your team’s colors.
SLOW YOUR ROLE
You’ll want to throw away any meats or cheeses that have been sitting out for hours, so only put out a small amount every 30 minutes or so.
It's best to stagger the food delivery, to make it through the game. Y
Tailgating in your driveway sounds crazy, but if you or your friends enjoy a cigar, or live in a relatively warm climate, take the party outside! Get some burgers, dogs or brats on the grill and paint your face with your team’s colors. As a bonus, you’ll keep some of the rowdier behavior outside your home.
Purchase all of your alcohol wholesale; warehouse chains like BJ's and Sam’s Club will give you a 30 day trial if you don’t have a membership. Shopping at one of these clubs often can save you big money on your alcohol purchases.
ALL ABOUT THE SNACKS
It's not a dinner party, it's the SUPER BOWL... There’s no need to go all out with the food you serve. Gett a variety of snack foods and skip the prepared platters of meats and cheeses, veggies and dips from the grocery store. It's cheaper to make your own, and you won't be left with an entire row of that weird cheese that nobody liked.
SMART HOME SURVEILLANCE
With a smart security system, and video doorbell, you can keep an eye on the front door if you buckle in and had to order a pizza. It can get loud so having alerts sent to your phone when the food arrives, you know. You can also make sure your home is protected - if you are having a few strangers over to join the festivities, point out your Alarm.com video surveillance cameras let them know "big brother" is watching!
