You can add up to 4 cameras with the base plan, and you may upgrade to a different plan if you would like to add more cameras. Each camera will need 5mgps of upload speed to keep up with the abilities of the device. Contact your internet provider for more information regarding your internet speeds.
Alarm.com cameras are able to be accessed through the same Alarm.com app or account that will power the entire security network within your home. The Alarm.com cameras will record everything you need and ignore what you don’t, using AI integrated technology. Adjust and set alert preferences simply through your Alarm.com account or mobile app!
Because Alarm.com cameras are integrated into your Qolsys IQ Panel 2, you can watch your cameras through the panel, or your smart device and manage your alerts, adjust settings, and set rules for home automation. You can set a rule to record when a Motion Sensor in the area is activated, or a door is opened. The system will alert you by phone or email, with the clip that was recorded.
Should your alarm go off while you are away from home, your camera will record up to 50 seconds of video while alerting you of the intrusion. You may open the live feed and use your fingertips to zoom in to see what’s happening and either verify or cancel the alarm signal. If you do not verify or cancel the signal, Brinks will reach out to you or your other trusted contacts to confirm if the alarm is false or if the authorities should be alerted.
What are your options?
You have the option of an indoor camera, an outdoor camera and a Skybell video doorbell.
The indoor camera, like the outdoor camera, is 1080p resolution, night vision, and a two way voice feature. The outdoor camera is not equipped with the two-way voice feature. These cameras are hardwired for power, and you will need WiFi for them to be active.
The intelligent technology in the cameras allows you to create zones within the entire visible image that the camera is able to see, and you can create areas that you would like to be alerted about, and choose to ignore the others. If you have a camera looking out at the drive way, you can set up a zone to record the driveway, but block out the street. With that capability, you won’t be notified every time a car passes by.
The Skybell doorbell is a great tool to have when you want to keep an eye on what is happening at the front of your home. The app will alert you when someone approaches the front of your home, or rings your doorbell. You will have the ability to access your doorbell camera and interact with your guest with the two-way voice feature embedded in the device.
Pair the doorbell with a smart door lock and answer the door from anywhere that you can access your account or app! This is the perfect option for parents who work late, friends and family that don’t have a key to your home, or if you’d like the delivery associates to leave your packages in the foyer instead of on the porch.
All video clips that are recorded will give you the option to save or delete your videos. This setting exists because Alarm.com will only allow you to have 1000 video clips a month. (Keep in mind that 1000 clips is still 30 videos a day) your videos will be stored to the cloud and you will be able to access and save or delete those videos. The count will refresh on the new month, and should you ever exceed you 1000 video limit, you are able to add more storage, but for a fee.
